I really love how He can speak to us at random times. I find it really sweet that even in the most mundane tasks and moments, He find ways to speak to us. Parang BDO lang.(Just like BDO.) Hahaha. Corny joke there. Kidding aside. I thought it'll be awesome to record these "realizations", as I fondly call it, and share it here. At least, most of them. So without further ado, here's Random Realization #1. -------------------- All of us make mistakes. Therefore, we are not in the position to judge others by what they've done. We won't always understand their reasons and the situation they are in, neither will they of ours. But here's the thing, we all made mistakes but Jesus chose to love us still. So much so that He willingly died for our mistakes, for our sins. And it doesn't even end there. After three days, He rose again so that our salvation would be made complete. So that we can come to Him again, be forgiven from our sins and be able to enjoy Him for eternity. That's how great His love is. Despite all our imperfections and wrongdoing He still loved us. Knowing and experiencing all of that, shouldn't we extend the same kind of love to others? Love that doesn't judge. Love that keeps no record of wrongs. Love that doesn't hold grudges. Easier said than done, I know. But then again, His love for us is a great reminder and motivation for us to love others just as How he loved us every time we forget and find it hard to do so. And suddenly it was like everything around us came to a
halt. Like nothing else mattered except for the two of us. I watched him as he
crossed the room making his way to me. I didn’t think it would happen again
after all these years. But it did.
I've spent all those years without him or with less of him thinking that what happened then was just us being young. Being caught with everyone in high school. And almost told myself that what I felt then was imaginary. That I imagined it all and it was not real. I thought I've moved on from it all but just feeling that gut feeling again even without seeing him made all the memories flood back. I suddenly felt every emotion we had back then. Love, hurt, happiness, sadness, longing...everything. And just catching a whiff of his smell again after how long felt so good. It is still the same scent of him that I knew before when we were young. He held out his hand and looked at me with that remarkable smile of him that was only for me, as I recall him saying. Then he looked at me straight in the eye asking that one question he asked a long time ago. And just like before, he looked past my eyes and deep into my soul. Labels: love
I miss you. Every day. Not a day have passed when I haven't thought of you. How are you? What are you doing? Are you still the same guy I've known before? Do you ever miss me? Or do you even thought of me once after graduation? All those thoughts always run in my head. And sadly, I can't have the answer to even just one of them.
At first, I tried to understand that we were the kind of friends who prefer talking personally and not virtually. We never lasted a conversation online or through text but we always have the best conversations when we are together. And I have it proven, or I think I did, when we saw each other again at the graduation of the batch after us. I wasn't even gonna go talk to you because I don't know if you'd want to or what, but you were the one who called me and welcomed we with open arms. That felt so good. It made me feel still special. Like you never changed at all. Like we never even been apart for a year.
And so I concluded that we're really just like that. But now, all I know is that I'm confused. You always left me hanging in the air, or maybe I just had myself hanging. I was trying to go on with life as normal. I'd think of you every now and then, but it didn't hurt that much. Or so I thought.
Up until a friend's birthday, where I met a mutual friend. You were our common ground so it would be normal that he'd open up a topic about you. I can't remember the whole conversation but the one thing that stuck to my mind was when he said that you found a new friend from the uni you go to and that you said she was just like me. I don't know if I'll believe that or not, 'cause I've had my dose of hearing "what you said" about me from other people and not from you. And even if I believe it, I don't know whether to feel happy that somehow you still recognize me in other people or be sad that you've moved on from me and found a new "me" instead.
I don't want to be strangers again. But I don't know what life we'll bring. And maybe we, especially me, just have to accept that people come and go. Some stay and some leave. But I know myself that I won't ever, ever forget you and that special friendship that we had. Never.
"I think, that if life separates us, and we end up in totally different places, I'll always remember... and I'll be thankful for that. And hope that wherever you are, you'll be thankful too. And I think that's the best we can wish for." - Josh (Philip Wang, Wong Fu Productions), Strangers, again
I miss you...
Labels: love So probably anyone who knows me would know how I am so attached to the computer and some would know that though I'm no genius in computers, I'm a bit advanced in using it due to the fact that 1.) my dad is a computer programmer thus; 2.) we were exposed early to technology of such; and 3.) me and my brother seem to have a distinct characteristic of being able to adapt and learn quickly to the paces of the things going on around us, especially, the techie and geeky stuff. Add to the list the fact that we're kind of on the above average level when it comes to intellect, or so I think. Not to brag though. Back to what I was saying, maybe some would also know how I am not contented with only the basics. And still some would also know that I love to figure out how things work, what are they made of and how they are made. And thus, all of that led to my new found love: WEB DEVELOPING. Or whatever it is they call it. Particularly with HTMLs, CSS, JavaScripts and the likes. I've been tinkering with HTMLs and CSS for quite some time now. If I remember right, I've been doing so ever since I started to blog. Or make blog sites without the actual blog in it. Haha. I've always been fascinated with computers, software, techie stuffs, the web and how it was made and you imagine the rest. It's like I also wanted to be making those things and sites I see on the Web. It's like I wanted to be my own Mark Zuckerberg, Ronald Wayne, Steve Jobs, Steven Wozniak or Bill Gates. I want to be a genius in the technology department. Sometimes I think, since I am transferring universities, why not transfer to a course too which will help me achieve those dreams of mine? Like finish a degree in Computer Science, Computer programming (like my dad), or the more famous Information Technology. Maybe Multimedia Arts will do or the likes. But I just can't decide that quick can I? I'm actually a Jack-of-all-trades (negative as that may seem, I view it as positive), so it's only natural for me to be interested and have the ability in sooooo many things. *Sigh* It's hard at times but I'm glad I'm one. After all, it's a God-given gift. :) (I ALMOST DIED. I accidentally closed my browser without saving everything in it that needs to be saved, including this post. AHHHHHHH! I thought I 'd start all over again. Whew. What a relief!) Back to the real topic of my post, I know I'd have to pray more fervently now so I don't make wrong decisions, or more like limit them knowing me. Haha. I'd appreciate prayers, tips, advice and stories related to this though. Thank you so much in advance. - Princess HCR. ♥ P.S. *HAPPY DANCE FOR A LONG POST* Haha. Forgive me, I'm just ecstatic. Maybe the result of my chocolate indulgence last night is still in effect. Hmmm. :) And all this is the result of e not being able to find the most effective way to make an interactive and animated multi-header for my blog. HELP! Recently, I've been having this dilemma about this guy I like. And it just so happens that I've just told myself not to get myself involve in stuffs involving romance. Not that I am bitter or anything. I've just realized that my past relationships [ and almost relationships ] failed because it simply wasn't my time yet. So I thought, "I should back off."
But then, out of the blue, I've started to notice this guy who also happened to be one of my close friends. I suddenly saw how good of a man he is. He's smart and intelligent [ no doubt about that], he is music oriented, he is good at sports, a leader, a total gentleman, and the best part is, he is a man after God's own heart. I mean who wouldn't notice that? You'd be stupid not to.
And the same time that my feelings for him were ignited, I was also trying to extinguish it. In which I wasn't successful. I've thought of ways to avoid him, but for many reasons, I just can't. Not because I don't want to, but because our situation won't allow us to. And that frustrates me.
And to make things worse, he was in my dreams last night. And in the dream, he finally asked me to be his girlfriend. It was a very glorious moment. That I won't deny. But then, as I woke up. I became confused. I SHOULDN'T BE DWELLING IN THAT DREAM. It just ain't right.
And while I was trying to forget what I feel for him, here comes another guy friend. Darn it. Sometimes, I think, "Why can't they all just go away?!" It's really frustrating. And it so difficult because these persons happen to be one of the few persons I treasure my friendship with. And I don't want to lose that.
So I prayed and prayed and prayed. And just in time, my lovely teacher when I was high school sent us a message on Facebook containing an article from Blogger. And then , there is light to everything. It dawned on me that it was my own doing I'm in this situation now. It wasn't their fault. They didn't ask for me to like them. I chose it on my own will. And I did it without even thinking what the consequences might be. I was so deeply in love with the thought of liking someone and someone liking me back that I forgot I shouldn't be dwelling myself in those stuffs. I was convincing myself that I'm over it when truth of the matter is, I wasn't. [For the record, I think I'm starting to dwell on things more maturely now than before. Yey me!] And I thank God for reminding me that. Now, I know better.

Here is the article I'm talking about: http://between7and8.blogspot.com/2010/11/no-boys-allowed.html
If you are a woman like me, especially if you're single, READ IT. It doesn't hurt to have a reminder once in a while.
And also a song which I love so much that pretty much tells of what I've just learned.
Love is Waiting
Brooke Fraser
In the autumn on the ground,
between the traffic and the ordinary sounds
I am thinking signs and seasons while a north wind blows through
I watch as lovers pass me by
Walking stories - whos and hows and whys
Musing lazily on love
Pondering you
I'll give it time, give it space and be still for a spell
When it's time to walk that way we wanna walk it well
I'll be waiting for you baby
I'll be holding back the darkest night
Love is waiting till we're ready, til it's right
Love is waiting
It's my caution not the cold
There's no other hand that I would rather hold
The climate changes, I'm singing for the strangers about you
Don't keep time, slow the pace
Honey hold on if you can
The bets are getting surer now that you're my man
I could write a million songs about the way you say my name
I could live a lifetime with you and then do it all again
and like I can't force the sun to rise or hasten summer's start,
neither should I rush my way into your heart
God bless everyone! Ciao. :3

**JUST SOMETHING THAT POPPED UP IN MY MIND.
A lot of times we feel hurt, abused and unloved whenever we start to open up our hearts and learn to finally love again. We think that life and love is unfair because you never got the chance to be happy; because you never felt that the love you gave was ever reciprocated. We feel that we lose a big part of us by loving even though we know that this certain person we feel for feels nothing for you. But in reality? We gain more. We gain more because we learn how to cope up with the struggles love has to offer. We become stronger without us knowing it. It may not be right now, but sooner or later, we'll see that because of the hurt we've had in the past, we became a better person. And surprisingly, we realize that we became broken and shattered so that we can be whole again. So that we can be a whole new person, all ready for that one person God destined for us to spend a lifetime with. Love is sweet and yet it is bitter. It is the cause of one's happiness and at the same time the reason for another's suffering. It makes us laugh endlessly and cry for eternity. Love excites us but also scares us. Love make us broken and vulnerable but it also turn us into a better being. Love is magical. Love is full of mystery. Love makes the world go round. Love is present in every human being. But most of all, LOVE IS EVERLASTING. It never fades, it never leaves. It come and go but never shall it vanish. LOVE IS FOR ETERNITY. Wherever we go, whoever we meet and whatever we do, love will always be present. Love faithfully and wholeheartedly. In every failings, stand up and learn to love again. For love is a process we all have to go through until we are ready for God's will and plan for us. :)
